
US EPA Stormwater Grants: Applications Open
The US EPA as released a Request for Applications for the new Centers of Excellence for Stormwater Control Infrastructure Technologies Grant Program, which will provide $3 million in federal grants to establish and maintain regional stormwater centers of excellence. Areas of focus for the centers of excellence include research into new and emerging stormwater control infrastructure technologies; technical assistance to assist with the design, construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructure that uses innovative technologies; collaborations between higher education and private and public institutions to strengthen regional stormwater approaches; and to create and maintain a national electronic clearinghouse of new and emerging stormwater control infrastructure technologies. Eligible grant receptions include institutions of higher education, research institutions, and nonprofit organizations that have demonstrated excellence in researching and developing new and emerging stormwater control infrastructure technologies and with the core mission of water management. Applications are due March 18, 2024, and grant award amounts have a ceiling of $980,000 and floor of $588,000.
